1% Sales / Time
What do you mean when you say you’re giving 1% of sales?
When we say “sales,” we’re talking about what accountants call net revenue. Our net revenue is all of the money that comes into our account both from sales of products ordered on revawear.com and from products sold wholesale to our retail partners. When we give large in-kind donations to our partners, we deduct the cost of those products from the sum of money we donate to the organization. There is no cap to the amount of money we give to our non-profit partners.
What do you mean when you say you’re giving 1% of your time?
Reva commits 1% of our team’s time to volunteering and pro bono work with our non-profit partners. In contrast to most other companies’ volunteer programs, which allow employees to spend a certain amount of paid time off volunteering, at least 25 hours of service (per year) is expected of every Reva employee. Reva’s employees work with our partners in a number of ways, from participating in events like professional development days, to committing to ongoing mentoring relationships, to taking on organizational projects that put their core skillsets to work.
